The Louis XV - Alain Ducasse's 25-year anniversary
1987-2012: 25 years of culinary excellence.
During a beautiful weekend in November 2012, the Louis XV – Alain Ducasse celebrated its 25th anniversary in the presence of 200 chefs with 300 Michelin stars amongst them.
World gastronomy will remember the date of 17 November 2012 as the day 200 of the world’s greatest chefs came together for a gala dinner in Monaco to celebrate the prestigious restaurant’s anniversary.
Prior to this occasion, a temporary Mediterranean market had brought them together for an afternoon in honour of what Alain Ducasse holds dearest: Mediterranean flavours.
Market gardeners, livestock farmers, butchers, fishermen and mushroom pickers from both the French and Italian Riviera from Nice to Genoa were at the market, presenting their flavours and products to chefs from Germany, South Africa, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Scotland, United Arab Emirates, Spain, the United States, France, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Peru, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.
Not only were the festivities beautiful, but the casting was exceptional as well. Who else could Monte-Carlo SBM invite to be with Alain Ducasse but 200 great chefs with 300 Michelin stars amongst them!
